It is a known and often repeated fact that through globalisation, our world has become a much smaller place, and our everyday lives and cultures are interweaved with each other in unprecedented ways. Different cultures meet and cross paths every day, and greetings are exchanged all the time. And people are greeted according to their culture and background. Does one adapt to the country they are living in? And if so, does one lose or gain a cultural identity? Is there a sense of belonging or loss? And how does one become aware of it?
ME(et) YOU is a cross-cultural dance performance by Maltese choreographer, Sarah Vella, and Norwegian, Lisa Colette Bysheim, which aims to create a new awareness about the inevitable moment of interaction which results from such encounters.
