For over 400 years, wherever there has been a theatre, actors have performed William Shakespeare’s plays. Young Nick thinks they are boring and irrelevant and cannot take another minute of his teacher droning on about them in his online English class.

Nick would much rather be somewhere else. Somewhere exciting and new. Somewhere with duelling knights, nightclubs, ghosts, and talking statues. Somewhere with witches and monsters, all-powerful gods and magical guardians.

Curiously finding himself inside an old theatre, Nick encounters The Guardian and The Bust flipping though a very special book – The Collected Works of William Shakespeare. Together, the trio embark on a journey around the theatre, experiencing an eclectic mix of magical short stories along the way.

The world of theatre is in need of a new guardian. Could Nick be the one?

‘In Arden: Shakespeare Transformed’ is an original film created and performed by the Roaring Voices youth theatre company.

A short Q&A with director Polly March and members of the Roaring Voices company will follow each of the screenings
