ĊineXjenza: The Man Who Knew Infinity

16 November 2021 @ 7:00 pm - 8:48 pm

Date and time
Tuesday 16th November 2021, 7pm

In the 1910s, Srinivasa Ramanujan, a man from the poor streets of India, overcomes obstacles such as the war, sickness and ridicule and travels halfway across the globe to make an incredible contribution to the world of theoretical mathematics.

His contribution led to leaps in the Combinatorics field of Mathematics. These were later applied to other scientific fields such as Statistics, Physics and Economics. After the event, there will be a discussion with the aim to inspire any individuals interested in pursuing a scientific career, especially in the research area. Refreshments will also be provided free of charge at the end of the event only if COVID-19 restrictions permit. The audience’s safety will be considered as the organiser’s priority.

CineXjenza is supported by the STEAM project, run by the Malta Chamber of Scientists and S-Cubed, in collaboration with Spazju Kreattiv.

Creative team: Giulia Maria Tabone (Event Manager), Edward Duca (Consultant), Martina Grech (Assistant), Ian Farrugia (Assistant) and Zippy Tseng (Assistant), BetaPsi
