Celebrating World Day of Disability
3 December 2015 @ 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm| Tickets
Celebrating the universality of Theatre – Dance – Music
Date and Time: Thursday 3rd December 2015, 7.30PM
Venue: Theatre, Cinema (St James Cavalier)
With the over-arching premise of development and human rights for all, the ‘International Day of Persons with Disabilities’ seeks to promote an understanding of disability issues, to marshal support for the dignity, rights and well-being of persons with disability, and of course, to increase awareness of the benefits derived from their integration – be it in the political, economic, social and cultural life.
That’s where the Opening Doors Association comes in. The annual observance of the ‘International Day of Persons with Disabilities’ – the 3rd December – sets the stage for a group of individuals eager to celebrate disability in performance. The theatre-group, the dance-group, and for the first time, the music-group, shall be taking centre-stage in an all-encompassing performance at St James Cavalier. Time to re-evaluate.
Attendance to this presentation is free of charge, but donations will be gratefully accepted at the door.
Places for wheelchair users are limited, and are therefore kindly asked to send an email with their details by clicking here, and we will get back to you as soon as possible.
