Community Projects

Fondazzjoni Kreattività has embarked on a community project with the residents of Corradino Correctional Facility (CCF). This initiative, which has been awarded the Premju tal-President għall-Kreattività, has enabled five residents of CCF to sit for the Art and Design exam (Edexcel), and attain this qualification.
 

2011/2012: Expressing Yourself Through Art

2012/2013:
Hop-On Hop-Off ARTventure

This Art-venture saw thirty young adults from Y.O.U.R.S explore the realm of printmaking, through art-sessions which were complemented by on-site cultural and educational visits, and where the focus was on making such historical sites a relevant experience for defining our cultural identity. 2013/2014: Pass the Parcel

“To draw from life is to learn about life.” – RobertCrums, Artist

This experimental project initiated the idea of success among all participants from the Y.O.U.R.S. and Female residents at the Corradino Correctional Facility, irrespective of age and gender. Throughout the year-long project, learning through sharing of documented experiences was the main driving factor, and culminated in a visual art exhibition, PAĠNI, held at St James Cavalier through the support of Premju tal-President Għall-Kreattività and Fondazzjoni Kreattività. 2014/2015: The Mystery of the Ordinary

“My art is my therapy and it’s helped me a lot to heal from the inside out.” – C.F.F. resident

This year-long community project saw the arts as an essential part of human experience wherein the ordinary was found to be truly mysterious in many ways.
